To meet further business growth and continued site investment targets, we are looking to further grow our maintenance department with a multi skilled and dynamic Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
-Assist in the smooth operation and maintenance of a modern food manufacturing site.
-Provide front line breakdown support to return equipment back to service as quickly as possible.
-Carry out planned and preventative maintenance to agreed schedule.
-Diagnose faults and to test, repair and maintain mechanical / electrical equipment.
-Observe, recognise and report on machinery or component defects or symptoms of impending failure to improve efficiency and reliability.
-Undertake project work involving electrical and mechanical installation of new equipment.
-Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
-Comply with health and safety and food safety requirements when undertaking works.
Experience & Skills
-Ideally you will have experience in mechanical and electrical engineering within a Food Manufacturing, Production/Process environment.
– A solid understanding of mechanical principles and experience with mechanical troubleshooting.
-Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
– Experience with fast-moving machinery, pumps, valves, inverter drives, sensors, relays, PLC’s and site services.
-Ability to troubleshoot to find the cause of machinery and equipment faults affecting performance.
-Understanding of the fundamentals of automation and process control systems.
-Proven track record in fault finding and fault diagnosis.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members at all levels.
-A proactive ‘can do’ approach to providing “best in field” maintenance.
Renumeration
-Competitive Salary (Base + Overtime rates) – dependant on experience
-Permanent role: Full-time (Day shift only) either on a 4 or 5-day standard working week, with the aim to maximise a healthy work life balance.
